Boxes Be Gone

{I}

 So we have yet to tell everyone yet, because we didn't want to jinx it of course, but it's happening!! We are in Fort Worth right now, packing up our belongings because we are moving to Houston! . . . Okay, so maybe you knew that already. But, did you know we are buying a house?  YES! We are. We are so absolutely EXCITED! We go to closing on June 3rd, this Friday. I will be sure to post pictures next week.

 {II}

 Brannon really likes his new job. I am so glad he got a job in his field. His first job was as an engineer but not mechanical. *Bonus* Its only going to take 10 min for him to get to work from our new house!

{III}

 This summer I will be busy making our new house our home. I really want an artsy, creative, comfortable home feeling. I see how I want it in my mind, but then on the other hand I see a collage of random stuff that does not work. *sigh* It will be a lot of work but I can't wait!

 Along with that... I will also be a "Nanny" for three adorable little boys that I love so much. :) So excited about this! They are going to keep me busy, that is for sure. Swimming Pools, Art Projects, Zoo Trips, Museums, Beach trip, Movies... I think I am going to have to limit it to one "field trip" a week. That way my house wont be a wreck and my school work wont end up in "D's".

 So yes. I am going to be in school this summer as well... 2, 6 week classes, at separate times. Plus a trip to Maryland for the 4th. Plus working on Amici Boutique, and Children's Ministry at our church.

 I hope I get to sleep.... We might have to have a required "quite hour" so Nanny Bree can take a nap.

{IV}

 Off to pack up more of our apartment! Driving back to Houston tonight for Brannon to be at work tomorrow.

 Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all our Veterans and those currently serving our country. I admire and appreciate all that you do.

March 8, 2011- Fat Tuesday

So, Fat Tuesday is a time to eat whatever you see in your cabinets and just not worry about food and exercise for the day right? Cuz after all its FAT Tuesday!! *woohoo!!!*

 Yeah.. NO! :) Eat healthy! Get in some exercise this week! Don't let the excuse of Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday get in your way.

 Here are some motivational health mantras for you:

Exercise Mantras:
  • Do it for those who can’t.
  • There are 168 hours in a week. I’m only asking for 7 of them.
  • I’ve never regretted a workout.
  • Every day is a new opportunity to make new decisions.
  • If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’re going to keep looking how you’ve been looking.
  • Every day you decide to workout, you make a decision to benefit your health.
  • You know your limit and this is NOT it.
  • A body at rest wants to stay at rest. A body in motion wants to stay in motion
  • No hurt, no mini skirt.
  • You don’t HAVE to exercise. You GET to exercise.
  • Everyone has 24 hours in one day. What you do with those hours is up to you. Make the most of them!
  • You are just one workout away from a good mood.
  •  You’re stronger than you think you are!
  • Don't try, just DO!
Healthy Eating Mantras:
  • The food you eat today is the body you wear tomorrow.
  • Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Put them together and you’ve got a kingdom.
  • An hour a day keeps obesity away.
Running Mantras:
  • You can’t judge a run by the first mile.
  • If you train hard, you’ll not only be hard, but you’ll be hard to beat.
  • You’re blessed to have legs that allow you to run.

Add a mantra to my list! Leave a comment below with some of your mantras :)
Have a happy week!

18 miles. And a Blister.

*NOTICE* I decided for now I am going to combine Running Adventure Girl and my Adventure Girl blogs. You will find them all on Adventure girl until further notice. Thanks. :)

Yes! I have made it to mile 18. :)

Saturday night I did 4 miles (running for 1mi) which got me up to 15miles.
Tonight (Sunday) I did 3 miles (running for 3/4mi) which got me up to 18miles.

And I am so upset! Because I was planning on running 1.5mi-2mi tomorrow and I have a blister on the bottom of my toe! Stupid new shoes. . .

New Shoes! Asics Cumulus 12
But they are pretty aren't they?

 So, now tomorrow I am not sure what I'm gonna do... lol. I'm gonna put some Melaluca Oil on my toe ( NO this is not an advertisement, but my grandma will be proud) and hope its better in the morning.

 In other news, I have a 5k coming up on March 5th. I will be doing it with my friends from Life Family Church! (if I talk about how much I miss you and that I almost cried in church this morning because of it.. then i'll cry, so I wont) Anyways... its going to support Houston's Women and Childrens Shelter. So far I think we have 9 or 10 participants, so If you want to come do it with us please do! Its for a great cause.

 I have numerous new years resolutions for 2011, and one of them is to stay in shape through the whole year. So this year I am going to try and participate in at least 5 races, if not more. So. First one is March 5th. Still looking for number two, so if you know of an awesome one, let me know! Doesn't have to be a 5k, it can be a bike ride, or I am also considering a 10k.

 Also, my husband is going to be participating in the 2011 Dallas Rock and Roll Half Marathon! Its on March 27th. I am going to run a few miles of it with him (but that doesnt count as one of my 5 races). So if you want to come out and hang out with us and watch the runners, its going to be tons of fun! Plus, you get to hang out with me while they are busy running! There is like 11 different bands playing along the 13.1 miles, and a Health fair type thing also!

 So. That's all for now. Remember! God made you special, and he loves you very much! BYE!

. . .

 Don't ya just loooove Veggie Tales? :)

Applesauce!

 A long time ago, my parents were youth pastors. And in one of the classes my mom was teaching, and I don't remember what she was talking about, but I do remember her telling us that instead of saying a curse word to say something silly that had to do with food. The one that stuck with most of the youth group I think was "fudgy pickles!"  (Thanks Stephanie, lol)
 So, whenever you want to shout a profanity, shout... APPLESAUCE! :) Or come up with your own silly food.

 Today, I am irritated. I am always tired! :( I don't know why. I get enough sleep, I am eating healthy, loosing a little weight, and exercising! I have hobbies, and things I work on at the house. Starting school next week. . . I just don't understand why I am tired all the time. I don't have too much going on (because I have to entertain myself and make myself stay busy) and I know I get enough sleep. . .

 I hope school goes good. Kinda worried about going to a community college again though. I am going to take 6 classes over this spring and summer at a community college to cut costs. Then I will be transferring to TWU to finish my bachelors degree. 2 1/2 years I will be finally done. I feel like I have been a junior for forever. The word "Junior" is becoming more like the word "loser" to me. :( ugh.

 Today I am going to work on some flowers that I need to get out for orders; find a doctor, dentist, and chiropractor in Fort Worth; go to the grocery store; and I think go to church tonight. :\ finding a new church is harder than you think. I hate it.

 So. Today is a blah day I believe. *APPLESAUCE APPLESAUCE APPLESAUCE!* :)

 Need to do something fun for me... maybe I'll get some orders done and can make some felt flowers like I want.

 Tomorrow I have to go to TWU to talk to an adviser. Not looking forward to that at all. So, afterward I am going to reward myself by going to Hobby Lobby and getting supplies I need for another order. I should go to Starbucks too. Just because. :)

 Hope everyone else is having a wonderful day! The sun is finally shining here and I hope it is shining where you are as well. :)
